I didn’t use my stars and they expired, why do you have expiration dates on stars?

Stars have an expiration date because we want to encourage members to use them. As our most loyal customers we want you to enjoy rewards because you deserve that free hand-crafted beverage. We hope you will visit us often enough that your rewards won't ever come close to their expiration date.
 
You can always check the status of your rewards on the Starbucks mobile app or if you log into your account. Click on "Manage Rewards" and there you will find the number of Stars and the status of the rewards you have earned. Stars can be redeemed by using your registered Card or your Starbucks mobile app and letting your barista know you have a reward on your account.
